Open wide kids. It’s time for the Oral Health Coalition’s annual Breakfast with the Tooth Fairy. February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Children and parents come from far and near to enjoy freshly flipped pancakes cooked by local dentists, crafts, and activities. Breakfast with the Tooth Fairy is on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Medina Salvation Army gym, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Watch a video and learn more at http://www.medinahealth.org/dental_clinic/Breakfast_Tooth_Fairy-2.
Dental health professionals will be available to answer your dental questions. Activities at Breakfast with the Tooth Fairy are geared toward pre-school and school-aged children. Every year, children leave this event inspired to take care of their teeth. They also leave with a personalized photo with the Tooth Fairy which serves as a great reminder to take care of their teeth at home.
"Children’s teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and a healthy smile is important to a child’s self- esteem. With proper care, a balanced diet, and regular dental visits, their teeth can remain healthy and strong," said Beverly Kreiner, Dental Health Director.
Space is limited. Registration is $5 per person and scholarships are available. To register for the breakfast, call Bev Kreiner at 330-441-2731. Tickets are available at the Medina County Health Department at 4800 Ledgewood Drive in Medina and at the dental office of Dr. Kathy Brisley-Sedon at 110 Main Street in Seville.
