Digital Darkroom Magic

Location:

Sharon Center

Event Type(s): Lecture / Workshop
Organization: Medina County Park District
Description: Digital Darkroom Magic: From Camera to Computer to Printer or Web!

Are you struggling with getting the images from your digital camera into your computer and organizing them so you can find them when you want them? Are you baffled about how to adjust the exposure or tonal value of your pictures? Do your family and friends complain that the pictures you email to them are way too big? Then this class is for you! We will look at techniques for uploading and organizing your images, backup strategies, a workflow that will help you quickly and easily process your images, and simple techniques to prepare your pictures for print or the web/email. Adobe Photoshop Elements will be the main program used for classroom demonstrations though other image browsers and editing packages will be discussed. Each student should bring a laptop computer with digital editing software installed (e.g. Elements Version 8 or better, Photoshop CS3 or better, Lightroom, Aperture, Paint Shop Pro, Gimp, etc.). The instructor will have a spare laptop if needed first come, first served. Ages 16 to adult. Register by Thursday, March 22. There is a $30 program fee.
