Medina: The Medina Community Band, under the baton of Marcus Neiman, has cancelled their annual Spring Concert, originally scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd, at 2p in the Medina High School Middle Stage Auditorium.
Our two high school senior soloist recipients Joseph Muhl, Wadsworth High School, and Philip Alberts, Medina High School, will be featured on a future concert.
According to Marcus Neiman, conductor, “Our decision to cancel this concert was made following the governor’s ‘Stay at Home’ order on March 22nd. While the decision was difficult, it was the right decision at the right time – the safety and health of our band members and fans really must come first.”
With regard to the band’s summer season, Medina Community Band Association President Lu Ann Gresh, commented, “No decision has yet been made regarding concerts for the summer season. We remain in contact with Main Street Medina and the City of Medina as they develop use policies for the activities on the Public Square this summer.”
