Yummy lunch and a presentation on Civil War era clothing and accessories. Our annual Holiday Luncheon presentation will be “Perils of Petticoats” women’s fashion of the Civil War era by Lynne Bury of the Marshallville Octagon House. An overview of women's mid-nineteenth century fashions which debunks the myths surrounding such items as hoopskirts and corsets. Tickets are $30 ($26 for WPS members). With your check to the WPS, please add your phone or email and with whom you would like to be seated. Event, parking and restrooms are accessible. Event starts at noon; doors open 11:30.
