Let's face it -- this may not be "the most wonderful time of the year" for everyone. For those grieving a loss -- of a loved one through death or divorce, a job, physical or mental health, mobility -- the joy of the season can seem out of reach.
We invite all who are grieving to an ecumenical prayer service near the winter solstice, the longest night of the year. It is a time to reflect, remember, accept where we are, and hold out healing and hope as we await the Light of the world.
