Join the Medina County Animal Shelter on October 12th from 10 am to 4 pm for a fun-filled community event! The event will be held at the Medina County Animal Shelter, 6334 Deerview Lane, Medina, OH 44256. The shelter will be open for tours throughout the day. This event coincides with the Medina County Fall Foliage Tour and is right next door to Buckeye Woods Park.

The day features adoptable dogs and cats from area rescues as well as a disc dog demonstration at 11 am. Enter your pet and yourself in the costume contest for a recommended donation of $5 per pet/person. Prizes will be awarded to the lucky winners of the costume contest. Registration for the costume contest begins at 12pm with the contest following at 1pm. The goal of Dogtoberfest is to bring together local organizations for a day of fun and a chance to help shelter pets find their forever home. The following shelters/rescues are participating in the 2019 Dogtoberfest: City Dogs, Medina County SPCA, Wayne County Dog Shelter, Buckeye’s Mission, and Take Me Too Dog Rescue.

All dogs attending the event must be up to date on vaccinations, dog and people friendly and kept on a leash at all times. Please keep in mind that cats participating in the costume contest will be around dogs.
