Family Law Resource Ctr 9a-12p

Thursday, January 9 - 9:00 AM

Domestic Relations will not provide legal advice. Volunteer lawyers are available to answer questions regarding family law (divorce, separation, domestic violence, post decree and unmarried parentage issues) at the Legal Resource Center on various days each month. NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY and people are seen on a first come-first served basis. Attorneys may not be available after the last person is seen, so be sure to come early. Check medinacountyevents.com for cancellations or call 330-725-9742. While the Court cannot provide legal advice, technical and procedural information and assistance is available at no cost. The Center is an extension of the Court’s Dissolution Compliance Service and is designed to establish a physical work space where attorneys and parties without legal representation may find blank legal forms and other resources to guide them through the legal process. The resources include books on divorce and separation, Ohio Domestic Relations law, and children’s emotional reaction to parental conflict. A computer workstation is available for child support calculations, and general word processing needs. Information, including brochures and fact sheets, about Legal Aid, the Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service and other community resources is also available. Be sure to check this website for last minute cancellations or changes to the schedule, call 330-725-9742 on the scheduled day to confirm that a volunteer attorney will be available, or email dlross@medinaco.org for additional information.
