The historic Weymouth Church is the oldest in the county, built in 1835. It is a fine example of a 19th century village church. Retaining almost all of its period details. it has been documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey. The church was active in the anti-slavery movement from the 1840s and hosted noted abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison in 1854. The historic marker will be unveiled at a brief ceremony and reception.
