Step back in time and experience the stories of Liverpool Township residents. Learn the story of Jacob Reisinger's shipwreck off the coast of New Jersey and eventual settlement in Liverpool. Discover how Prohibition affected the area residents and how the Civil War divided the township. Learn the connection between some township residents and the Salem Witchcraft trials.
Join us on September 21 from 6 to 8:30 pm at Mill Stream and enjoy an hour walk through 6 scenes that tell of some of the Myrtle Hill Cemetery residents in Liverpool Township. This is a family friendly event. After dark enjoy the special atmosphere that low lights and a campfire at many of the scenes provides.
Groups will leave every 15 min. from 6 to 8:30 and there are some seats at each stop. Walking tour takes about an hour.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children, and 5 and under are free.
You may purchase advanced tickets beginning Sept. 3 at the following at Coffee in the Valley (6663 Center Rd) and the Liverpool Twp. office (6801 School St) or at Buehler's Forest Meadows or River Styx stores. Tickets are also available at the door on the night of the event.
The event will be held at Mill Stream Park in Valley City. Just follow Rt. 303 to 1/4 mile west of State Rt. 252, then north on Maple St. to the park. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Liverpool Community Center, 6801 School St., Valley City.
