Hunter Education Course

Completion of a hunter education course is required for all first-time hunting license buyers in Ohio (ORC 1533.10). The hunter education course covers topics such as firearms, ammunition, gun handling, archery, hunter responsibilities, outdoor safety, wildlife management and conservation, and other related information. Absolutely NO FIREARMS shall be brought to the class. Lunch is not provided, but there will be a one-hour lunch break. Registration for this class opens March 15 and can only be done on the ODNR website at http://wildlife.ohiodnr.gov/education-and-outdoor-discovery/hunter-and- trapper-education. Ages 10 to adult. Free.
