Children often experience confusing feelings and beliefs during and after their parents’ separation. They are frequently caught in the vacuum created by the separation and the ensuing rearrangement of interpersonal relationships.
Children often have questions about the separation or divorce. Children often have feelings that are difficult to share. Children wonder what will happen to them, their family and their lives.
This program is helpful for children to see and be with others who are going through similar experiences. This program will allow children to interact in a group setting and participate in activities geared toward answering questions about their parents’ separation and talking out their feelings. The groups are conducted by licensed counselors and social workers with experience in working with children of separated parents.
