The Northern Ohio Railway Museum
All Aboard! The Medina County Historical Society is pleased to welcome Chuck Gibson and historian, Blaine Hays, from the Northern Ohio Railway Museum (NORM) to share with us this superb and interesting museum for our October membership meeting.
You will hear and see pictures of the interesting train and street cars that the NORM houses, maintains, and restores. The mission of the Museum is to collect, preserve, restore, display, and operate streetcars and other railway equipment for the education and entertainment of the public. It currently holds over forty streetcars, interurbans, rapid transit cars, and other types of cars.
Learn about the growth of this Museum, its restoration efforts and how you can ride on one of these treasures.
Although the Railway Museum is currently closed for the season, it is open only on Saturdays from May through September 23. The museum is located at 5515 Buffham Road, Seville OH 44273.
The program, open to the public, is at the Medina District Library (210 S. Broadway St., Medina, Community Room A/B) on Monday, October 9 from 6:30 to 7:30.
