Medina County Art League Members Meeting

Our April speaker is Mike Schmidt, adjunct professor at the University of Akron, gallery director and adjunct professor of drawing and painting at Mt.
Union University. Mike is a graduate of Highland High School, the Cleveland Institute of Art and studied drawing and painting at California State
University, Long Beach.  His program will cover a multitude of subjects and examples of his art work, including
• The poetry in gesture and art making
• Collaborations of art/music/theatre
• Stop motion animation
• The role of spectacle in culture/society
• How charcoal, pencil, and ink can tell intense stories
• Time as a medium

There will be a brief business meeting, and of course, art trivia shall return!  There will also be some art supplies for sale that were donated by the family of Leslie Chiamachella.
