Orienteering at Allardale

Saturday, October 24 - 6:00 AM

Orienteering is a map and compass navigation activity that challenges one’s ability to efficiently navigate a course made up of varying land features represented on a topographical map. There will be four courses of varying difficulty levels from beginner to expert. First-timers are welcome, and the basics are easy to master. This is a great experience for individuals, families, and friends who want to experience another way to get out and enjoy our magical outdoors. Necessary equipment required is a manual compass and a whistle. A limited number of compasses will be available to borrow, and the club will sell whistles for $1. Sturdy shoes and pants are suggested for off-trail hiking.

Because of social distancing requirements, preregistration is required for this event via the Northeastern Ohio Orienteering Club (NEOOC) at
