Pollinator Day at the A.I. Root Gardens

Saturday, July 13 - 10:00 AM

Pollinator Day at the A. I. Root Pollinator gardens - FREE. View the gardens, talk to the gardeners, learn about helping pollinators in your own back yard from 10 am to 3 pm. Ernst Seeds has their amazing pollinator garden and will be there. The Ohio State Beekeepers and their mix of roadside plantings will attend, along with the Medina County, OSU Master Gardeners and their production. Project Apis m has a starter garden this  year, delayed by rain but still a good idea to watch and learn from, and the Pollinator Protection people have 3 gardens this year....a butterfly garden, a mixed wild flower garden and a legume garden all designed to attract bees and butterflies. Plus, there are two off the shelf pollinator seed mixes we tried to see what works, and what doesn't. See for yourself and perhaps a buyer beware is in the works for some. Know your supplier. Plus Richardson Farms will have a stand, and the Honey Jelly and Jam operation will be there with jellies, jams and bees to see. Beeology too, will be there with their soaps, balms and lotions and potions and honey - all from their bees. And face painting for the kids. Email Kim@BeeCulture.com for information. Look for the dancing bee in the middle of Liberty Street.
