Self-guided Hike: Winter Birds

Sunday, November 22 - 6:00 AM

Many species of birds call Ohio home during the winter months. These species of birds are either resident birds that stay here all year long or winter visitors that spend the winter in Ohio before migrating back to Canada for the breeding season. Signs along the nature trail will highlight birds seen in Ohio during the winter.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety and well-being of all, we are not offering our typical naturalist-guided hikes through the remainder of the year. This self-guided hike is being offered as a replacement and may be used as credit toward your yearly Natural Discoveries award.

Visit the park to hike the trail and read the signs. You will find a code word listed on one of them. Write the code word down on your Natural Discoveries form in the place we would normally initial your attendance on the hike. Ages 7 to adult. No registration is required. Free.
