Have you always wondered what knife to use when you cut a tomato, or how to debone a chicken or even how to make a dessert? Are you in recovery and looking for a second chance?
Well, Sérénité Restaurant and Culinary Institute may be just the place for you!
Located in the heart of downtown Medina in Medina County, The Sérénité Restaurant and Culinary Institute is a second chance employer whose mission is to strengthen our community by supporting people in recovery. We ensure every individual who desires an opportunity to overcome their addiction is allowed that chance by helping to provide the individual with the necessary support they need to succeed.
Sérénité Restaurant is at the core of the Recovery Center of Medina County’s programming and offers a distinctive and innovative approach to addiction recovery which encompasses a six-month training program, teaching techniques of classic French cuisine and high-quality restaurant service. The program can accommodate up to 16 students at one time who rotate through a curriculum that includes classes on all aspects of the culinary and hospitality industry, kitchen and culinary skills and front of house training. Students will also receive other classes from the community on topics such as parenting, health, nutrition, finances and more. Students receive an income during training, and job placement assistance upon completion of the program.

Next class starts February 20, 2024, and is scheduled weekly for 6 months. Class times are Tuesday-Friday 1-9 and Saturday 4-10.
