Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its Sunday afternoon concert series with Canton-based guitarist Steve Farley on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 2 pm. This will be a live stream event on the ORMACO Facebook page. Farley will discuss music of the 1960s- from the age of sock hops and innocence to protests and the Vietnam war. The program will feature music from Bobby Vee to Crosby, Still and Nash and many artists in between.
Steve Farley studied under band director Ray Ponzo. While Steve was at Ohio University he first heard The Allman Brothers Band and fell in love with their unique sound. He played in various bands in the 1970s and 1980s, but then took a hiatus to raise his family.
Working in the steel industry for forty plus year at both The Timken Company and Republic Steel, Steve now performs on a regular basis locally. His music features acoustic guitar and extensive use of a looper.
The concert is free, but reservations are recommended by registering online at www.ormaco.org or calling 330-722-2541.
