VITA- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at the College offers free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. The Tax Clinic will offer services on Tuesday's beginning February 5th through April 2nd. Services will not be offered on March 12.

Participants must bring:

• Photo ID, Social Security cards for all taxpayers and dependents

(married filing joint requires presence of both individuals)

• Prior year’s tax return (AGI and PIN required to eFile)

• Documentation for all income

(W-2, 1099, interest, pension, disability, SSA)

• Evidence of all deductions

• For students: 1098-T, paid statements and tuition and

book receipts

• Evidence of health insurance coverage

(1095-A, B or C or exemption)

• Direct deposit information (check routing and account numbers)
