Judge Mary Kovack is announcing that she will be resuming her Legal Resource Center program for limited hours effective immediately. The sessions will occur every other Thursday evening, with the first session being held on May 7, 2020 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm via videoconference by appointment only.

The Legal Resource Center will be held using GoToMeeting software which is available for free on desktop and mobile devices. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing Scott Newman at snewman@medinaco.org. As space is limited, priority will be given in the order emails are received.
Judge Kovack established the Legal Resource Center in 2006 as a place where people representing themselves can access legal forms, books, and other legal resources to guide them through the legal process. Volunteer lawyers staff the Legal Resource Center and answer procedural and technical questions. The Legal Resource Center does not provide, and is not a substitution for, legal advice.

In an effort to respond to the growing number of unrepresented people involved with Domestic Relations Court, Judge Mary Kovack and the Medina County District Library have joined to increase access to the Court's Legal Resource Center through the Medina County Library System. For future schedules, please check the Legal Resource Center link on the Medina County Domestic Relations Court website at www.medinadomesticrelations.org, contact the Resource Center at 330-725-9742, medinacountyevents.com or the District Library's website at www.mcdl.info for specific times and locations.

Domestic Relations will not provide legal advice. The Court's judicial attorney will be available to answer questions regarding family law (divorce, separation, domestic violence, post decree and unmarried parentage issues) at the Legal Resource Center on various days each month.
